I found out I have FIVE weeks of training, and all of them are in Lakeland. BUT - I do have Halloween off, so I can get to Orlando early to see my boo. Next week we have to go to the Lakeland Yacht and Country Club to meet and have lunch with the CEO. The following day, we have "Fun Day" where we get to wear jeans and go to a halloween party in Winter Haven. This is such a good company to work for. The benefits are awesome...they reimburse your tuition (up to 400 dollars a semester), so I wonapos;t be stressing to buy books. I finally get paid the first week of November. Working two 40 hour weeks...I canapos;t waiiiiit

I also got a call about my resume from Tri-County Human Services today. I talked to the woman, and they have an apos;as neededapos; position available in their Bartow location. Iapos;d be working with women with mental health and substance abuse issues. Iapos;d be under the supervision of the counselors and nurses, overseeing the clients, recording their progress, etc. Iapos;m going in tomorrow to pick up a package to get drug tested and finger printed, and then moving on from there. I hope I get that job. Iapos;d only be working one or two days a week (whenever they need me and Iapos;m not working at MidFlorida), but itapos;s such good experience for me. The woman said after I train and work for a bit, I can probably leave the apos;as neededapos; position and gradually get more hours. That made my day.

Iapos;m so grateful things have significantly improved this past month. I thought Iapos;d be absolutely miserable living here again, but I havenapos;t been this happy in a long time. This town doesnapos;t suck when you limit the people you see :).

Oh and my fear of working with the trashy people that live here DIDNapos;T come true. All the people in training are actually ambitious and seemingly intelligent.
